Hello everyone, just a quick update on the current progress of Evo Chamber. All of the basic creature traits are done and are working. Hurray! My goal was to allow creatures to evolve from early jack of all traits types into highly specialized entities as the simulation progresses and this seems to work.
BUT I still need to add more higher level traits to allow more variations to happen or otherwise every run ends the same which is a bit boring in my opinion.
Performance-wise is it also looking very good with smooth frame rates with over 4000 active creatures on the map.
If everything goes as planned then a release in April should be doable.
